Bluebell Cafe

BLUEBELL COMMUNITY CAFE

The Hall has entered into a joint venture with Monmouth’s Talocher School to establish a regular community cafe on Thursday afternoons.

Pelham Hall Co-Chair, Nikki Scarr, says “This initiative will be a great experience for the students and a good opportunity for those in the village to enjoy the café in the knowledge that they are also providing value to these young people . I have met the pupils and they were fantastic and very positive and excited about doing the café.”

And from the students in Deri class …

“Hello! We are students from Talocher School in Monmouth. We are part of the autism centre and sometimes find learning and talking to people difficult. That is why this community café project will be good for us. We think that it would be good for the community in Penallt, as Covid has meant lots of people have been stuck in and not being social. We hope to put this right.

The Bluebell Cafe is open on Thursday afternoons in Pelham Hall from 1.15pm-2.15pm, finishing on Thursday 14th July. We will be serving tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits, all with a smile! We will be delivering leaflets that we have designed about the café and some future dates, in the next few days. We are really looking forward to this and hope to see you there!”
