Hall survey - brief summary
Some initial results of the recent village survey (see bottom of page for details) are now in and are summarised below:
There were 51 responses to the survey and the demographic breakdown of respondents is shown above along with the frequency of use of the Hall.
Some common themes emerged in response to questions about ideas for using the Hall in the future and these are shown next as key messages for consideration by the Hall Trustees who are now investigating the ease and cost of addressing this feedback. The results of this investigation will be announced in a future newsletter.
The June 2023 introduction to the survey follows:-
This is the third Pelham Hall Survey. The first one was conducted in 2014 and the second in 2019. We are very grateful to everyone who has taken the trouble to complete these in the past and hope even more people will participate in this one.
There are several reasons why we want to run another survey but the core objective is to be as relevant as we can, to as many people as possible in the local area. To achieve this we feel we need to hear from you what services and facilities you want to see offered in the post COVID-19 Era.
During 2022 there have been many events and activities including the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, Kepow Theatre, Classic Car Show, Vincent Castellano Moroccan Night, weekly social night, Quizzes, Film Night, Beer Festival and a Wine Tasting. You may have also come to the organised activities such as table tennis, bowls, pilates and yoga - or something similar.
A Lift for people with disabilities has been installed, Solar Panels have been installed, low energy lighting has been retrofitted and Penallt’s Website has been updated. Further improvements are being considered making the feedback from this survey all the more crucial.
Different members of the same household are encouraged to complete separate forms. We want to get as wide a range of views as possible, from the youngest to the oldest in the village, hence the request for multiple and individual responses.
Names of all those who complete the Hall survey (except for current members of the Pelham Hall Committee) will go forward to a prize draw, the winner of which will receive a £25 John Lewis/Waitrose voucher!
