Raffle in aid of The Old Church raises over £1400!

Your Church needs you!

Old Church.jpg

Penallt old Church is the oldest building in the village dating from the early 13th century. It has magnificent views and is a place of peace and serenity in which many of our ancestors are buried.

However, the Church and churchyard require continual repair and maintenance and this relies only on local support.

To help with this, Sarah Haeffner’s famous Christmas Raffle in aid of the Church fabric took place on Saturday December 4th alongside a coffee and cakes morning in Pelham Hall.

Tim McCord writes: A big Thank You to everybody for their recent participation that raised the superb total of £1435. This has been used to rewire the Vestry and all electrical sockets (which were dangerous!).

Without your help we would not be able to keep the Old Church in a good condition. Finally another big Thank You to Sarah Haeffner for her hard work in arranging and running the raffle.
