The election of councillors for Town and Community Councils in Wales takes place on Thursday 5 May 2022, and on the same day there will be elections for County Councillors.
The Trellech United Community Council boundaries have been redrawn by the Boundary Commission for Wales.
The changes, in terms of councillors, are as follows …
Penallt and Trellech Town each have one extra Councillor bringing both totals to three
Catbrook (2), Llanishen (2), The Narth (2), and Whitebrook (1) retain the present number of Councillors (shown in brackets)
Llandogo has for many years been a ward within Trellech United Community Council. After the elections this will change when it becomes a ward of the new Wye Valley Community Council when Tintern and Llandogo come together as a Community Council.
Trellech Grange has for many years been a ward within Tintern Community Council. After the elections this will change when it becomes a ward of the new Trellech United Community Council.
If you qualify, please consider standing for election to your Community Council and serve your community, where you can engage in the future of your community.
Councillors typically meet monthly for a couple of hours to discuss local issues which include planning, highways and finances thus supporting the local community, including the village halls and the schools.
Nomination papers can be accepted from 17 March 2022 and must be submitted by 4pm on 5 April 2022.
