On behalf on the Penallt Footpath Group steering committee - thank you to those who assisted in the clearance work through 2021. We managed to keep all our footpaths open through the year and made some significant progress in widening one or two. I know it is not always possible/convenient to join our group outings but keep your secateurs with you when walking and do a little here and there - it all helps.

In addition we installed 5 new marker posts, repaired a few stiles, arranged the replacement of a bridge on one of our footpaths and renewed some of our footpath markers. We hope to manage significantly more in 2022.

We have established a pattern of work party outings taking place on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Therefore our second outing of 2022 will b on Wednesday 19th of January - the weather forecast is hopeful. We will continue the work on the footpath down to Glyn Farm - see detailed information at Footpath Group Working Party.
