After a longer period than anticipated, the cycle repair station announced in the article below is now installed and ready to use. It sits on a concrete plinth at the front of the Hall on the left hand side. Its position has recently been registered with Cyclehoop and it should shortly appear on an interactive map showing locations of other similar stations.

Cycle Repair Station coming to Penallt!

Thanks to a generous grant of £2640 from the Wye Valley AONB, the Pelham Hall Trustees have now ordered a Cycle Repair Station to be installed for public use in front of the Hall itself.

As Sustrans explains “Bike repair stations are stand-alone units equipped with the tools people need to fix, tune and repair the most common mechanical problems with their bikes. Stations can be installed in a wide range of locations. They keep people cycling and encourage others to cycle too.”

We have selected an appropriately robust model, the Cyclehoop Deluxe Bike Repair Station and Pump Bundle, which will require installation of a concrete slab to give stability.

It’s planned to make the Station available by … TBA
