Public Meeting to discuss the creation of a Community Emergency Plan
The objective is to take suggestions on the content of the plan, including as examples:
Community resources that are available:
Sand Bags
People with chainsaws
Tractors available
Camping stoves available, so that the hall batteries can be utilised for heating and lighting.
People who would like to be checked on if a power cut extends past 4 hours
People who would be willing to help and check on people above
How things would be communicated if WhatsApp was offline and for those that aren't on the WhatsApp chat
How the Pelham Hall could be used in a long term power outage
The probable focus will be around three types of emergency: Flooding, Storm Damage with roads blocked and long term Power Outage.
Simon Angell is leading the meeting and hopes to focus on a draft plan linked from the button above.
